    Overview

     

    We are searching for a full-time, remote Business Development Representative who is energized by the opportunity of contributing to the growth of our client portfolio at a key stage in vChief’s growth. As a Business Development Representative, you will be charged with establishing new partnerships with a focus on early stage businesses, nonprofits, and start-ups. You’ll build relationships with founders and leaders, educate prospective clients about vChief, and bring new clients to the table.

    Founded in 2016, vChief is focused on connecting leaders with Chiefs of Staff to take their work to the next level. We recruit, select, and vet professionals with experience in strategy, operations, communications, and project management, many of whom have served in Chief of Staff roles previously. To ensure a consistent approach across all clients, we provide our Chiefs of Staff with resources around completing a needs assessment, setting priorities with clients, communicating effectively on their behalf, project management, and more. Leaders opt into a monthly level of service to meet their needs, which is provided by one of our contracted Chiefs of Staff.

You’re energized by spending your day toggling between client calls, team collaboration, and solo work time.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    1. Generate new leads via online prospecting, cold calling, networking, and asking for referrals

    2. Follow up with and convert inbound leads from email campaigns and web leads via phone calls and email

    3. Network at conferences and entrepreneur community events to cultivate new leads and partnerships

    4. Provide consultation to founders and CEOs on reaching their business goals

    5. Obtain commitments from leaders by presenting a tailored solution to meet each leader's unique needs

    6. Build partnerships with other companies who interface with start-ups, such as venture capital firms, incubators, and accelerators

    7. Diligently track communication and progress to goal in our CRM, Zoho

    8. Develop strategies to cultivate opportunities in a diverse array of sectors

    9. Present vChief candidates to prospective clients and guide clients through the interview process

    10. Other duties as assigned

     

    Requirements

     

    1. Minimum of 2-4 years of business development experience required

    2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

    3. Strong record of business development results

    4. Experience working in sales in start-up environments preferred

     

    Benefits

     

    Compensation

     

    Compensation for this role includes a base salary of $40,000 and a generous commission structure, with total on target earnings of $65,000 - 95,000. This position will also be eligible for vChief benefits including a four day work week, a work from home stipend, healthcare, unlimited vacation (with set minimums), retirement savings, and more!
