    THE OPPORTUNITY

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION

     

    English and German fluency, French is a plus

     

    Our client is looking for someone to join their Communications team to help them build brand awareness through the development of consumer-focused narratives. This role will be responsible for communications tailored to external audiences both in Germany & France and will focus on raising brand awareness of our client’s narrative and products to buyer-facing audiences. This person will work closely with the rest of the team to create new strategies and messages, and will partner with senior leaders across the organization to uncover opportunities to tell new stories and amplify their current efforts. 

     

    This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director of Global Consumer Communications. For this role, we are considering candidates ideally based in Germany or Europe generally, working remotely.

     

    You will be successful in this role if you: 

     

    1. Have 6+ years of communications experience 
    2. Have strong media relations with both French & German reporters/media outlets 
    3. Have experience managing PR agencies
    4. Are extremely detail-oriented and like to multi-task
    5. Have a passion for storytelling 
    6. Have experience planning and managing logistics for events and presentations
    7. Are comfortable acting as a liaison between the communications team and partners 
    8. Like to think outside the box when it comes to thinking of new communications channels and approaches
    9. Are excited to work for a mission-driven company that is committed to creating value for all of its stakeholders. 
    10. Are highly organized and detailed oriented
    11. Have impeccable writing skills
    12. Are a team player with a “roll up your sleeves and get it done” attitude
    13. Have your finger on the pulse of the fast-changing media landscape and emerging new media channels
    14. You identify potential problems before they emerge based on patterns and experience
    15. Lead with optimism and a can-do attitude
    16. Full proficiency in German and English - French is a plus

     

    There is some flexibility on the annual salary based on experience.

     

    Responsibilities: 

     

    1. Lead communications strategy for consumer-focused campaigns in DE & FR 
    2. Drive execution of consumer campaigns through agency support and on-the-ground media outreach 
    3. Manage two consumer PR agencies - one in France and one in Germany 
    4. Ensure that strategies are insight-driven by proactively seeking opportunity that support our client’s trends
    5. Build and execute on compelling story angles that will resonate with media across a variety of categories and disciplines 
    6. Partner with leaders and teams to create local press opportunities to build awareness for their brand narrative 
    7. Create messaging and materials both for specific announcements and for use on an ongoing basis 
    8. Secure & execute media opportunities for consumer-focused spokesperson including messaging development, segment production, prop sourcing, etc. 
    9. Share and amplify media coverage with internal audiences including a monthly report of PR metrics 
    10. Proactively seek out high-impact opportunities that tie back to our client’s goals and mission 
    11. Execute global campaigns with a locally relevant angle
    12. Build local press campaigns that raise brand awareness for client’s narrative 
    13. Reactively place positive stories for related to local/world pop culture moments 
    14. Source and vet sellers and products for local media outreach
