About the team - Did you know that grocery has the biggest share of the overall retail spending in India? In fact, grocery is projected to be an $800B market in 2024 – of which, the majority contribution will come from non-metro cities. As State Head, you will lead Meesho toward becoming the preferred destination for groceries. Our superstore team at Meesho interacts with all its stakeholders to develop the right strategies for running the grocery category. The team consists of highly energetic individuals who take complete ownership of their tasks and never shy away from going the extra mile.
About the role
As Marketing Lead, you’ll be responsible to lead the marketing and growth campaign for hyperlocal grocery setup to scale the user growth in a grocery business which will involve on ground multi channel marketing campaigns that are tailored to the specific needs and interests of the identified target audience. You will lead early-age setup and scale by conceptualizing the entire 360 campaigns across channels to scale to the best output in terms of awareness and CAC.
What you will do
- Own the growth strategy for Superstore. Identifying the target audience for hyperlocal marketing campaigns
- Figure the right channel mix and optimize for CAC / LTV for getting the users in a hyperlocal business setting
- Create the scale-up and same city penetration strategy
- Developing and implementing marketing strategies that are tailored to the interests and needs of the target audience
- Monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of the marketing efforts
- Collaborating with other members of the marketing team to create and implement creative and effective campaigns
- Engaging with the local community through digital and offline channels to build brand awareness and drive customer loyalty
- Keeping up to date with the latest trends and best practices in hyperlocal marketing, and providing recommendations to the team on how to improve the store's campaigns.
What you will need
- 6-8 years of marketing experience with at least 2 - 4 years of experience in setting up hyperlocal grocery setups from scratch
- Subject matter expert on how to scale user growth in a grocery business
- Experience in conceptualizing the entire 360 campaigns and have led the effort of early stage scale
- In-depth understanding of the channels to scale to get the best output in terms of awareness and CAC
