The Role
In this role, you’ll join the EF India team and be responsible for all marketing efforts across the region, building our brand as a beacon for exceptional emerging talent and positioning our programmes to attract the most ambitious
among them.
You’ll partner with our investing team to uncover insights about our target audience at different stages of their career journey and how to reach them, tailoring our communications across owned, earned, and paid channels. In addition to EF’s own narrative, you’ll get to work alongside and tell the stories of our founders and their companies, placing you at the forefront of technological innovation across multiple industries.
You will be our brand custodian ensuring the EF global brand is well understood, locally adapted for your consumers, and delivered consistently throughout the region.
This is one of the most critical roles in the EF India team with high responsibility, autonomy, and an opportunity to build alongside some of the best technologists, founders, and ambitious entrepreneurial talent while also guiding them through key efforts in the brand and marketing charters for their startups. The role reports to and works closely with the Partner at EF India.
At EF, the team enables the world’s most ambitious individuals to build world changing companies. This means taking a cohort of 50+ individuals and helping turn them into world-class startups. After the programme stage, EF invests pre-seed capital into promising companies and the fundraising team prepares them for external funding.
Over the past 10 years, we've built a robust, scalable way to do this. Our method has enabled the creation of some of the most valuable startups produced in Europe and Asia. As Marketing Lead in Bangalore, you will be shaping the Indian tech ecosystem at some of the earliest stages of innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Craft campaigns and events that help to build the EF brand and drive engagement with prospective candidates, alumni, and other key audiences
- Build EF India’s awareness and reinforce EF’s value proposition across all stakeholder groups
- Drive organic and inorganic marketing efforts to identify and attract some of the most ambitious and high-potential future founders in the country
- Collaborate with global marketing to adapt marketing assets to local audiences and moments
- Measure the impact of marketing activities, focusing on driving quality over quantity for our candidate pipeline
- Develop strategies to reach and engage exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds
- Get deeply immersed in the Indian ecosystem of founders, entrepreneurs, technologists, and VCs in an in an effort to build EF’s awareness and relevance
- Own EF’s media strategy in India, building relationships with key outlets and managing our PR agency to drive share of voice and relevancy
- Identify opportunities to reinforce the EF brand throughout the candidate, cohort, and alumni journeys
- Drive visibility for our portfolio companies amongst seed and later stage investors
- Authentically build a large influencer network; putting EF India into the heart of the conversations so that others are telling the EF story and amplifying the messaging
- Work closely with founders and technologists to develop brand and marketing strategies for their businesses
What You’ll Need
- Marketing experience in a high growth company; a service-oriented, technology, educational, or community-centric organisation is preferred
- Consumer marketing experience and consumer centricity a must
- Able to navigate uncertainty and problem solve creatively around constraints
- Strong creative judgement and demonstrated experience in building brands both offline and online
- Experience planning and delivering events
- Excellent analytical skills with an ability to track the return of activities to customer engagement and brand impact
- Proven organisational and project management skills, comfortable juggling both time-sensitive deadlines and longer term initiatives.
- Able to deliver high-quality results in a timely manner individually and through others; initiate action and accomplish goals across teams/projects in the face of multiple demands
- Self-driven, proactive and an exceptional communicator with excellent speaking and writing skills
