    ABOUT THE ROLE 

     

    We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Associate who lives and breathes all things digital marketing. You have a passion for social media, community engagement, blogging, and content.. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining our brand awareness, reputation and community across social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, review platforms, and more using content planning, blogs, PR, events, and more.

     

    The ideal candidate is a natural at identifying new opportunities for audience engagement for a brand through content creation, events marketing, PR, and taking advantage of appropriate trends. You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty, and have strong writing and communication skills.

     

    You will work with the Product Marketing team to create engaging, relevant content strategies and posts, using your experience and insights to continuously innovate and drive platform growth. We want to see a committed and approachable individual and be impressed with your character, creativity, and customer-centricity. You should be excited about not just working really hard in a small but rapidly growing startup, but building it with your own direct ownership in the business. You must be ambitious and want to make a mark on this world greater than anything you have done to date.

     

    Responsibilities 

     

    1. Work with a Copywriter & Designer to create engaging content pieces across channels
    2. Ideation and research for our Content & Events Marketing
    3. Ongoing improvement of the content (and results) of our social media & external review platforms
    4. Use platform analytics, Sprout Social, and Google Analytics to inform content and community engagement decisions
    5. Weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on social media & review platforms
    6. Optimise brand awareness, thought leadership, and community engagement through proactive activities and initiatives 
    7. Responsible for ongoing social media & review platform (HelloPeter, Google, others) monitoring and management
    8. Work with each division of the business to identify, attract and engage relevant audiences (alumni, prospective students, current students, and other communities) to build brand presence and affiliation online & offline

     

    Requirements



    Minimum

     

    1. 2-4 years of digital marketing experience
    2. 2+ years of social media and/or community management 
    3. 1+ years of experience owning or co-owning the brand messaging for a large consumer or business facing brand
    4. A qualification in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field
    5. Excellent written communication skills, and near-perfect verbal communication skills
    6. A track record of exceeding targets and ambition
    7. Strong knowledge of digital marketing as a whole
    8. Strong creative writing and communication skills
    9. A digital native who is experienced with social media platforms, email platforms, blogging and more
    10. Highly customer-centric with first-hand experience in online reputation management
    11. A fast-learner who is proactive in their approach to their work
    12. A strong interest in technology or knowledge of coding and/or programming languages is highly advantageous

     

    Preferred

     

    1. A track record of creating and growing communities for a brand online
    2. Demonstrable experience in creating winning content strategies with specific audiences and harnessing social trends for brands
    3. 2+ years of content management experience 
    4. Previous experience in EdTech or similar startup space, scaling brand engagement and reputation online
