POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Vice President Marketing - Individual Markets will join Global Atlantic’s Hartford-based Marketing organization. This role reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, and acts as a strategic leader and partner, representing Marketing as part of the Individual Markets leadership team, the local office, and across Global Atlantic.
This role is accountable for developing and driving the marketing strategy for our Individual Markets Business, including partnering and collaborating with the Sales organization to support revenue objectives for the annuity and life product lines, advancing our marketing efforts to drive engagement with Financial Professionals across distribution channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading the Go To Market organization in defining, developing and executing on all Individual Markets marketing initiatives
Develop and lead our go to market strategy to support and align with the business objectives and sales goals of the Individual Markets organization, turning strategy into value through exceptional go to market execution
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on strategic goal setting, cross-functional business planning and prioritization of opportunities to advance efforts to evolve new ways to go to market, as the Marketing representative on the Individual Markets leadership team
Defining market segmentation to determine the most effective integrated, segment-focused strategies aligned with business objectives
Results oriented mindset with the ability to drive incremental gains in Marketing initiated/influenced pipeline by leveraging data and insights to optimize engagement strategies
Standardize go-live activities across different products and channels in line with go-to-market strategy
Driving the advancement of our marketing efforts through expansion of our capabilities on demand generation, channel expansion and engagement, product and channel marketing
Partner with peers as a member of the Marketing leadership team, working collaboratively to advance marketing strategy, capabilities and process at Global Atlantic
Oversee multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, including development and execution plans for marketing campaigns and programs, managing from strategy through to completion, to ensure high standards are met. This includes but is not limited to timeliness, accuracy, quality, FINRA and legal compliance
Oversee the development and implementation of collateral materials and digital tools for new initiatives/strategies
Think creatively and strategically to leverage internal and external relationships in order to develop innovative marketing initiatives and help drive sales messaging and goals
Form strong relationships to build consensus, alignment and engagement with key partners across the organization, including Sales, Product, Compliance and the Marketing Advisory Council
Partner with Global Atlantic’s Strategic Partner Group (national accounts) to develop marketing strategies and programs for key distribution partners
Partner with Marketing Analytics to define a data-driven framework to measure success, adoption and impact of marketing programs and campaigns, and evolve marketing programs and focus based on key learnings and competitive intelligence
Partner with digital marketing leads to advance digital capabilities and deliver digital tools that enhance our marketing programs and initiatives and add measurable value to the sales process
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
Minimum fifteen (15) years of related experience. Experience in annuities and/or the financial services industry
Series 6 FINRA license required on day 1. Series 26 required within 6 months
Proven track record developing and implementing strategic marketing programs and campaigns, launching new products, and working with partners across an organization to support sales and other organizational goals
Strong leadership and execution capabilities, including leading large initiatives and cross-functional teams
Creative thinking, ability to foster the generation of innovative marketing ideas and work collaboratively
Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external partners
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively synthesize, organize and communicate complex information
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Superior professionalism and judgment
Strong work ethic and the ability and desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Experience working with direct distribution (sales) teams and channel partners is a plus
