We, therefore, require a strong marketing leader who can boldly and creatively manage the implementation of the inbound methodology. With independent and creative thinking this candidate will have an important seat at the management table and will be required to build our marketing engine in such a way that it will fuel our growing sales team with the leads they require.
As the Marketing Manager, you will report directly to our CEO and will manage a team of 6 people (two of which have a dual role and will only work on marketing activities 20% of the time).
Responsibilities
Specific tasks that you would be responsible for:
- Conduct market research to understand the public interest and determine the best ways to market products and services.
- Maximise people resources and tools (HubSpot) to implement the inbound marketing methodology according to best practices.
- Design creative and unique marketing strategies across multiple digital channels like social media, our websites and other owned media assets.
- Create marketing plans detailing outcomes and goals.
- Create comprehensive budgets and cost estimates.
- Handle public relations and troubleshoot internal and external issues as they arise.
- Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience (including blog posts, whitepapers, ebooks, reports, webinars, infographics, social media etc.)
- Creating, managing, and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns leveraging SEO, social, inbound marketing, email and online events to drive customer acquisition
- Manage the continual improvements of our owned media assets.
- Optimize marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels
- Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and convert customers
- Conducting customer, competitor, and product research
- Create monthly reports containing a robust description of monthly activity, suitable advice and recommendations and a clear summary of performance against the key performance indicators and metrics
- Propose new and improved inbound marketing campaign ideas
Requirements
A great attitude is what is most important and the next most important thing we will expect is an “always learning” mindset. Besides these critical ingredients, you will need to possess or in some instances be willing to acquire (with our help) the following skills and abilities:
Education and Experience:
- Honours degree in Marketing;
- At least 3 years Marketing Management experience ;
- Experienced in working with marketing automation and blogging software such as HubSpot;
Knowledge and Computer Skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Creative and independent thinker
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- A solid foundational understanding of business
- Efficient organizational and time management skills
- Data-driven and research-oriented
- HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite hands-on experience is an advantage
