So... what will you do as a Marketing Manager at Ava?
- Ava needs a strong, experienced marketer to drive user engagement with our product: from initial conversations to habitual use; and to drive brand awareness and market share. That means you’re a born storyteller and a great communicator and storyteller who speaks to the needs of our users and customers. You can identify opportunities to increase engagement and drive retention. You know how to work closely with Sales, Product, and CS, and you can increase demand and usage of our products and move users to take the next step of their journey from habitual use to referral. You have a proven track record of measurable success.
- Communications: You will develop a deep understanding of our users and customers to create and evolve segmented messaging that resonates with different user types to show the value of our product via lifecycles, go-to-market campaigns, seasonal campaigns, newsletters, and other comms within the product and externally. You can easily explain complex product features and releases — and adjust positioning and messaging to fit specific communications. You’re up to date on the latest communication tools and strategies.
- Marketing materials: Support events, sales materials, sales comms, PR, and more across multiple segments.
- Events: Evolve our presence and expose our brand and product at accessibility and inclusion events.
- Customer Insights: Be an expert on Ava users and customers via product insights as well as their needs and problems to be solved. Understands market and community trends and watch new products. Track and monitor competitors in the market.
- Analytics: Understand where the opportunities are to engage users within the product and externally via a multitude of comms channels. Tackle user engagement drop-offs and why, and deliver comms to address them. Monitor and optimize campaigns and lifecycles. Implement related attribution.

- Campaigns: Expand our weekly newsletters to speak to core segments in order to bring them back to increase product engagement and get our potential customers to participate in demos. Figure out how to increase our active audience. Create go-to-market campaigns for new features big and small, and larger releases. Create seasonal campaigns as needed. Work with Social and Content Marketing to amplify their efforts.
- Marketing materials: Identify the most impactful areas to re-use or create new content to drive impact. Work with various departments to help their initiatives and cross-departmental goals including retention for Product and leads for Marketing and Sales.
- Events: Ensure our messaging and presence at events is consistent with our brand and the event type. Work with Sales and Operations to coordinate our presence and marketing materials.
