    We run a two-sided marketplace made up of renters and properties (our “supply”) on the other. As the Marketing Specialist for the supply side, you will work to increase demand for Apartment List amongst our supply partners.

     

    In order to be successful in this role, you must have expertise in copywriting, lead generation tactics, and visual design principles. You are a problem-solver with strong analytical skills, think strategically, are comfortable diving into optimizing current processes, and are motivated to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

     

    Your daily responsibilities include collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and business partners to create and launch marketing campaigns that generate leads and opportunities for the Sales team. As a B2B Marketer, you will handle marketing efforts around lead generation, landing page optimization, end-to-end strategy for email and content curation/creation, and sales collateral.

     

    Here’s what you’ll do as part of the team:

     

    1. Own the strategic development, execution, reporting, and optimization of B2B marketing campaigns to generate demand for the sales team 
    2. Write engaging copy used in email marketing campaigns and other collateral
    3. Build, schedule, and execute email campaigns in our marketing automation platform, Iterable
    4. Transform insights into new initiatives and approaches to create incremental demand and methodically test and learn. Manage and report lead-to-opportunity funnel within Salesforce
    5. Test and innovate new ways to drive demand for sales
    6. Develop demand campaigns that accelerate the number of properties we have available on our rental marketplace 
    7. Help manage and optimize the lead-to-opportunity funnel with a focus on implementing strategies that improve conversion rates
    8. Collaborate with Sales, Design, and other key stakeholders to create impactful experiences for our prospects and clients (i.e., client gifting, swag, etc.)
    9. Analyze data and make recommendations to optimize performance by analyzing internal results and competitive data, and keeping on top of industry trends (i.e., improve conversion rates, open percentages, and other key marketing metrics)
    10. Make recommendations to improve performance. Maintain marketing/email campaign health by helping build and monitor reports across active email campaigns to ensure we deliver our goals
    11. Help drive lead generation for the sales team and support Sales with ad-hoc requests and initiatives

    Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be successful:

     

    1. 3+ years of Marketing experience at world-class technology brands and startups
    2. 3+ years of experience designing, building and launching successful email engagement programs
    3. Business-to-Business (B2B) marketing experience
    4. Hands-on experience with B2B tech stack like Salesforce
    5. Comprehensive knowledge of Iterable or other email platforms, able to easily build, schedule, and A/B test email campaigns within Iterable
    6. Hands-on experience managing strategy and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns 
    7. Outstanding copy and communication skills – written and verbal
    8. Knowledge of the latest B2B digital marketing trends
    9. Past experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, and marketing automation
    10. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally as a team player, confidently collaborate directly with senior executives and build consensus among multiple stakeholders
    11. Deep technical knowledge of email best practices and A/B testing methodologies
    12. Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
    13. A specialized understanding of digital marketing strategies and tactics, including webinars, email marketing, social advertising on B2B channels, nurturing & remarketing, etc. 
    14. Proven ability to craft a compelling narrative and develop campaign themes/concepts that will resonate with our prospective clients
