AbelsonTaylor is marketing communications agency that specializes in brands that help people live healthier lives. We are seeking a Marketing Communications Intern to join our team. The internship is an opportunity for you to learn the basic functions of Marketing and Communications, such as media relations and social media, internal communications, digital media production, recruitment marketing, and employer branding.
What You'll Do
- Research and build media lists, create media briefing books, coordinate media interviews
- Draft and edit media materials, i,e, press releases, pitches, bios, social media calendars/posts
- Assist with creation and posting of social media -- assisting with creation of templates, editorial calendars and social media tool kits, researching content ideas
- Assisting with Nucleus intranet site - assisting with layout, writing and editing stories, helping with photo selection, sourcing clipart/images
- Assist as needed with other administrative and Marketing and Communications activities
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions regarding media pitching, content development, and other comms activities
- Attend weekly team meetings, and when appropriate, attend inter-departmental meetings to observe as a learning experience
What Makes You A Fit
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Office 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and Canva
- Ability to use social media such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
- Highly organized and strong project management skills
